Joinmax Elected as Director Unit of Guangdong Provincial Light Environment Industry Technology Innovation Alliance

Warm congratulations to Guangzhou Sun Yat-sen University Joinmax Technology Co., Ltd. on being elected a director unit of the Guangdong Provincial Light Environment Industry Technology Innovation Alliance.With over 20 years of accumulation in the LED industry, Joinmax will integrate high-quality resources from upstream and downstream industries, focus on application solutions for LED landscape lighting control systems and LED indoor intelligent lighting control systems, and jointly promote technological progress and industrial upgrading in the light environment and lighting sector.

On July 6, the inaugural preparatory meeting of the Guangdong Provincial Light Environment Industry Technology Innovation Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance) was solemnly held in Guangzhou.
Supported by the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, the Alliance was established in response to public calls for improving the social light environment, in order to implement the development strategic plans of the competent industrial authorities on accelerating the upgrading of LED lighting enterprises, actively promote the integrated development of the entire LED industry chain, and provide strong support for strengthening and expanding the LED industry.
More than 30 representatives from government agencies, influential and representative enterprises in the industrial chain, research institutions and design institutes gathered in Guangzhou to attend this important event.

Dou Linping, Secretary-General of the China Illuminating Engineering Society, stated in his address that the establishment of the Light Environment Alliance is a highly noteworthy and significant event for both the industry and society.The focus of the LED lighting industry has now shifted beyond merely improving energy efficiency, with greater emphasis placed on the quality of the light environment. The development of indoor and outdoor healthy lighting, including urban landscape lighting and lighting for educational facilities, has become a major trend.As an alliance, it should undertake the important task of uniting the upstream and downstream industrial chain, and professionally drive and promote the overall improvement of indoor and outdoor light environments.

Ms. Chen Yumei, General Manager of Yuxian Planning, reported on the preparations and work plan for the establishment of the Alliance.Guangdong Provincial Light Environment Industry Technology Innovation Alliance will play a constructive role in 12 specific and effective initiatives, including connecting designer resources, integrating upstream and downstream industrial chains, promoting the formulation of industry standards, and facilitating the industrialization of the Alliance’s achievements.
The preparatory meeting reviewed the draft constitution of the Alliance and held active discussions on the Alliance logo and a series of external visual identities.
Subsequently, Professor Wang Gang from the Sun Yat-sen University Institute in Foshan presided over the election of key positions of the Alliance, at which 9 director units and the chairperson unit were appointed.
Mr. Wang Gang was elected as the proposed chairman of the Alliance, and Ms. Chen Yumei as the proposed secretary-general.In his speech as the proposed chairman, Professor Wang Gang stated that the Alliance should deliver tangible results for member units and the industry. He pledged to actively pursue academic resources, assist members in formulating industry standards, integrate upstream and downstream industrial chain resources, and greatly improve the level of the social light environment, so as to build the Alliance into a practical and effective organization.
In her speech as the proposed secretary-general, Ms. Chen Yumei promised to commit to the unity of member units, discuss hot topics and cutting-edge technologies in the LED sector, address common key challenges in industrial development, put forward constructive suggestions for industrial growth, provide a basis for the government to formulate relevant industrial policies, promote resource sharing and mutual benefit among Alliance members, and further enhance the influence of the Alliance in the industry and society.

In addition, the meeting exchanged views on the preliminary formation plan of the Alliance, reached a high degree of consensus on the priorities for the next stage of work, and held in-depth discussions on the healthy and sustainable development of the LED industry, marking a strategic step forward in implementing the guidelines of relevant competent authorities.
The preparatory meeting has preliminarily scheduled the official founding ceremony of the Guangdong Provincial Light Environment Industry Technology Innovation Alliance to be held in Guangzhou on July 27.
