Recently, at the sincere invitation of the Hong Kong Federation of Facade Associations (HKFA), Mr. Chen Jiansheng, General Manager of SYSU Joinmax, attended a seminar on the latest technologies in the facade and architectural lighting industry, hosted by the Federation at the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Building.
Formerly known as the Hong Kong Architectural Aluminium Association, the Hong Kong Federation of Facade Associations is committed to promoting the facade industry. It provides industry professionals with facade-related knowledge and cutting-edge technical information through various training courses, seminars, and company visits, so as to enhance industry exchange and development, and nurture more enthusiastic young technical talents.
The event was held in the form of a technical lecture and sharing session, covering two topics: architectural facade lighting and building maintenance systems (facade gondolas). Three experts from JOINMAX, Inhabit Group and ACME delivered professional presentations and answered questions in their respective fields.

As the first speaker of the event, Mr. Chen Jiansheng gave an incisive and accessible presentation. Summarizing nearly a decade of technical solutions and implementation experience in exterior lighting for super high-rise buildings, he focused on analyzing the integrated relationship between luminaire installation details and facade structures, as well as the coordination of lighting system power supply, control and building structures. This demonstrated the company’s professionalism in providing optimized design solutions for facade lighting systems. He also shared the outlook on the integrated application of cutting-edge technologies such as cloud-platform lighting management systems and artificial intelligence in exterior lighting.

Through technical sharing across different industries and interactive discussions among participants, everyone was impressed by how rapid technological advancement has driven the development of the facade and lighting industries. With new technologies, manufacturing processes have been upgraded and product quality has improved dramatically. The warranty period for facades has been extended from three to five years in the early days to 15 years at present, while the warranty for electronic equipment in the lighting industry has also risen from one to three years to five to ten years or even longer.
Technology shapes the future; innovation shares the light of wisdom.
